Charlotte McConvey
Registered Psychotherapist, MACP, PhD(c)
Charlotte has strong values and believes that all people deserve respect, compassion, empathy and the opportunity to live their most authentic life. Charlotte creates a non-judgmental, accepting, empowering and uplifting environment that allows clients to feel safe while exploring their unique situations. Her warmth and calm nature allow clients to feel calm and reassured. Her approach is collaborative, person centred, integrative and practical. Charlotte believes that there is not a one-size fits all in counselling and believes this is a creative opportunity to find the right strategies for the client to achieve their goals and focus on their strengths. Charlotte works with teens and adults to discover their strengths and to create support in their lives. She does this by using somatic strategies and trauma-informed processes, to build healthy thinking and behavioural habits. The primary issues she works with (but not limited to) are anxiety, depression, stress, change, post-traumatic stress, relationship hardships, PMDD, eating disorders, grief, self-esteem, sports performance, body confidence, and separation and divorce. If you are looking for a therapist who supports self-determination, authenticity, empowerment, soundness, and growth, then Charlotte is the right fit for you. Charlotte is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Charlotte has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Criminology and Law from Carleton University, and an Alternative Dispute Resolution graduate certificate from Humber College. Charlotte also has certification in Family Mediation training. Charlotte is currently working on research and completing her Doctorate of Counselling and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University.
Charlotte is currently accepting clients and offers flexible scheduling for sessions (including evenings and weekends).
